During Cairo ICT 2021.. Colin Hu shares the Huawei’s strategy to achieve digital transformation
Colin Hu: “To meet the increasing complex global business environment…Digital transformation has become an inevitable choice for global enterprises and organizations.”
Mr. Colin Hu, President of Cloud, Huawei Northern Africa, delivered one of the opening speeches at Cairo ICT 2021, held from 7-10 November 2021, as part of Huawei participation as the technology partner of the exhibition under the slogan “New Value Together”.
Mr. Colin Hu said, “Digital technology is evolving rapidly in these changing ages. Digital development has become an important global consensus, perhaps the only one. More than 170 countries have released national digital strategies. Recent developments have made the world realize that digital transformation has been more realistic and urgent.”
He then added that the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the pace of digitization, considering the increasing global dependence on technology. This pandemic has made the world realize that digitization is no longer a luxury and that the essential technologies required for digital transformation has recently become more accessible. Thus, the world has rapidly transformed digitally and sustainably amid the profound changes that it is currently witnessing.
Mr. Colin Hu emphasized that the development in the digital field depends on digital technology. Hence, we must continue innovating and creating value to develop digital technologies such as cloud, AI, and networking, essential technologies to drive digital transformation. He also mentioned that Huawei’s strategy is to help organizations achieve digital transformation as one of the key factors in carrying out its mission. Huawei aims to bring digital to every person, home, and organization to build a fully connected and intelligent world.
He continued his speech by talking about how Huawei is relying on digital technologies to achieve low-carbon development as part of global efforts to achieve peak CO2 emissions reduction and decarbonization, in addition to the latest trends in the technology sector.
Huawei Technologies’ participation in the silver jubilee of the exhibition will witness the launch of its state-of-the-art technologies and solutions to support its partners both in the public and private sectors in achieving digital transformation in various sectors in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
